You are right, Love. No creature deserves to be caged. Set them free. Fly!

Do you remember the song of the wind, love… the taste of the rain? How long must we wait to return to the horizon?
What’s that? You fear that all the wonder’s been forgotten? No, Love… not forgotten. Some things can never be erased.

How many words have we written, Love? 1 million? 100 billion? Have you and I filled the Libraries of Alexandria with the pages of our love? Will we find no end to this passion? No, Love… there is no end. This love is infinite!

Yes, love, you were right. The legacy of the piper has not perished. It lives on as long as children still dream… as long as there are ears that hear. Play on, young piper… play on!

The Grid
by Jeff Graham
At minimum, there are three worlds with three sets of laws. At the Universal level, what goes up does not come down, it keeps going up along a trajectory based on bodies of great mass. At the Universal level, there is no such thing as “cold”, there is only “how hot?” On the Planetary level, what goes up comes down, and “cold” is relative to the mean temperature of the observer. The Planetary level can also be called the relative or animal level. It is easy to see where the Planetary level becomes the Memetic level (read: civilization). The rather chaotic and fluid land of the Planetary becomes more orderly, the land is terraced, fences appear, structures become rigid and built with obvious intent; the external technology used to create the Memetic level mirrors the internal mental systems that the memes are formed on. On the Memetic level, cars stop at red lights, borders mark sometimes very large changes in cultural coding between people on both sides, and laws that are followed are “agreed upon” by masses of people. To a bird, there is no Mexico and no America, and a bird does not stop at a red light. A human animal, just as any memetic creature on any other planet, requires taming and coding in order to live inside and operate within the Memetic level. Now, love, tell me… would you rather be a human or a bird?

I was going to queue this one… but no. A thousand bottled horizons and suited to every taste in the world. I’ll take one of each of ‘em… and pass the bottle on… I know that others are thirsty also. Have a drink, love. What do you taste?

Can you smell the rain, love? Can you feel your heart race in anticipation… in eager desire for the thunder? Let us go then… let us dance with the lightning.
